Anne Krog Øvrebø
Close to the sea and yet already behind the mountain, a potter from Norway has definitively found her village. Since settling here Anne has graced us with her calming ceramics, meticulously balanced. Pure and simple with elaborate and intricate designs: plant motifs stylised in the spirit of Art Nouveau and the rare enamel that sets off and magnifies the whole. “I love the pure white of porcelain, a virgin surface, extremely white, upon which I can place my décor.” Anne’s work is truly beautiful; porcelain with its feet firmly grounded in the earth and its head in the stars, an unmistakable harmony between the potter and her art.
